"Somewhere over the Rainbow skies are blue. And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true." Tonight, we saw a rainbow after the storm and I found a great sense of peace. It took me back to my childhood when we all dreamed of what life would bring and now I am living my dream. My dream of marrying my prince and having a child....every little girl's dream. Here is the rainbow that took me back to those dreams and made me think about the dreams that Hadley will have one day.
This week has been very eventful. We celebrated Grandmommy and G-Daddy's birthdays! We thought Hadley might share her day with one of them. G-Daddy was hoping for it, but no such luck.
We spent the weekend doing housework and getting everything ready for Hadley's arrival. Some might call it "nesting," but for us, it was a typical weekend of chores and errands.
Monday was contraction day. They started at noon and didn't stop until 10:00 p.m. After three hours, Brandon and I headed to Mercy since they were five minutes apart. The childbirth coach told us to follow the 5-1-1 rule (five minutes apart, lasting one minute, total of one hour of activity). Dilation was low, so they gave us the option to induce or to go home. We went home.
Tuesday was mom day. My mom came down and spent time with her emotionally and physically exhausted daughter. It was great having her here.
Wednesday brought little activity.
Today, we went to the doctor. My feet looked like water balloons and my blood pressure was 140/95. Hadley's heart rate was 130 bpm. Dilation still had not changed, but she has dropped and is "in position." So, we are just waiting for the dilation! We are both getting so excited to meet our little angel. We are beginning to wonder if we'll spend the first Football Saturday at the hospital. I guess that would be a great initiation for Hadley as she will know and love football by the time she is 1 year old. Hahaha!
Hadley's nursery is done! I need to practice using our new Handycam, so I'll try to post a video soon!
It's a waiting game at this point, but the BEST waiting game in the world! We love you all! Maybe next time we post, Hadley Renae will be here!!!!
Love you!
B, H & Hadley
