Hungry Hungry Lovebug

Happy 2 week birthday to our lil' hungry hungry lovebug!! She weighted 7 pounds, 6 ounces today, so she is one ounce shy of being at her birth weight! She is eating well and is a happy baby!

Last Friday, Hadley got to meet her Uncle Brian who was in town for the weekend from Florida. She was so excited to meet him! Uncle Brian was a little nervous to hold her, but got the hang of it quickly!

On Sunday, Nana (my mom) arrived to spend some time with Hadley and give Daddy and Mommy a break. It was wonderful to have her here to lend an extra hand especially since Daddy went back to work full-time. Hadley loves her Nana! They danced, sang, read books and cuddled!

Nana, Hadley and I became experts at outings! Monday - we went to the doctor. Tuesday - we went to the mall and Babies R' Us. Wednesday - we went to Sam's. Today - we went to the doctor and introduced her to many of Mommy's work friends. It was great to get out of the house and be back on the go like the old days. The outings were slower paced, but that is okay! :)

Hadley is making progress toward being a day-owl. Nighttime feedings are somewhat more consistent. I can't thank Nana enough for being my nighttime feeding partner this week. Nana would help change her diaper, burp her and chat with me in the wee hours of the morning. One little cry and Nana came to the rescue! We love you Nana!

Diapers were a challenge this week! Daddy and Mommy are officially initiated into parenthood! Nana is officially initiated into grandmahood! Hadley just loves to take a potty break right about the time that the clean diaper is situated. Our guess of going through 10 diapers a day is wrong with little Hadley! It seems that we go through two diapers at each diaper change. I guess we need to pick up the pace during the diaper changing routine! :) We start laughing so hard when we hear "NOOOOOOO" coming from her room!

We love our hungry hungry lovebug so much!! It's amazing how much you can love a child and it's a love that you never knew existed until you are a parent!

Much love,
Mommy Heather
